Lots of New Beer Releases at Rochester Brewing and Roasting
Our head brewer, David Bulcock, has been very busy these past few months, and we have tapped new beers almost daily. Here’s a list of new beer releases:
Atlas West Coast IPA: This west coast style IPA, brewed with Altus, Columbus and Chinook hops, features prominent resiny, earthy and piney notes with more subtle tangerine and citrus character. It finishes dry with an assertive hoppy bitterness.
Belgian Dark Strong Ale: This Strong Ale features notes of fig and plum in the flavor and aroma. A pleasant malt sweetness is balanced with a slight spice provided by the Belgian yeast.
Black Currant Sour: Our kettle sour, fruited with black currant, boasts a ruby red hue. The natural tartness of black currant complements the sour base beer. It is refreshingly tart with a dry finish.
Coffea Arabica Ale: Rochester’s Love Potion #2 coffee blend is featured in the most recent version of our Coffea Arabica Ale. It has a subtle sweet and almond-like aroma, with flavors of chocolate and fruit jam. This is the 4th Coffea Arabica Ale we have brewed and it showcases the talents of our head coffee roaster, Philip Enloe.
Dark Chocolate Milk Stout: This classic milk stout is loaded with liquefied cacao nibs and Madagascar vanilla beans. The resulting rich beer features an aroma of cocoa and malt sweetness. The flavor is dark chocolate with prominent notes of vanilla.
Minerva IPA: This New England IPA is a direct result of our constant experimentation in the DDH IPA series. This fruit forward beer features Chinook and Altus hops. You will taste spicy tangerine, grapefruit, and pine. An enjoyable hop bitterness is balanced by the citrus flavors and pillowy mouth feel.
Red Wine Barrel Aged Black Currant Saison: With black currant flavors, softened by aging in a red wine barrel from Bogle Vineyards, this complex beer features prominent oak and dark fruit flavors that pair well with the earthiness and sweetness of the saison base.
