Calling all plant parents, green thumbs and those of us just trying not to kill our pothos — something exciting is sprouting this spring! We’re thrilled to host Rochester’s Plant Swap on Sunday, May 25, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at our spacious Crossroads event space. This free, family-friendly plant swap event is all about community, coffee, craft beer — and of course, plants.
Whether your window sills are overflowing or you’re just starting your collection, Rochester Brewing and Roasting’s Plant Swap is your chance to share the leafy love. Bring your extras — starts, seedlings, houseplants, garden plants or cuttings — and see what your fellow plant lovers have brought. Bring a plant, take a plant. You never know what new botanical beauty you’ll go home with!
To level up your leafy haul, our friends from rootsKC will be onsite with a lush lineup of plants for sale, along with planting supplies and even repotting services to help your new green buddies settle in, grow and thrive at home!
And because plants and people both thrive with a little nourishment, don’t forget to grab a drink! Sip on a craft beer or your favorite specialty coffee while you mingle, browse and breathe in all that fresh, planty air. We’ve got plenty of seasonal beverages, and David is tapping brand new beers every week.

We’ve created welcoming spaces to gather for the best of both worlds – a Kansas City brewery and Kansas City coffee shop – all in one place. Our head coffee roaster sources the best quality coffee beans, roasting each batch meticulously to bring out the coffee’s unique character. Our head brewer blends the art and science behind brewing beer to create a rotating slate of beer styles, focusing on tradition with an eye on innovation. We would love to see you in person to pour you a cold one or whip up one of our popular specialty coffees. We also have a rotating menu of delicious sandwiches, breakfast burritos and fresh-made-in-house pastries and donuts. Stop by our spacious Kansas City brewery and coffee shop, located in the city’s vibrant Crossroads Art District. Or check out our charming Parkville coffee shop and brewery, located inside two vintage train cars. Both locations are open day and night, so come early for the coffee, stay late for the beer!
