2 Returning Summer Favorites: Daylight Limited and Guatemala Finca La Bolsa

Just in Time for Summer ~ Daylight Limited and Guatemala Finca La Bolsa

Guatemala Finca La Bolsa — Honey Process

At Rochester, we believe great coffee brings people together—and this exceptional lot from the beautiful Huehuetenango region in Guatemala does exactly that.

Sourced from Finca La Bolsa, a historic farm established in 1958 and operated by the Vides family, this coffee reflects generations of dedication to craft, community and innovation. Grown high in the mountains of Guatemala between 1,300–1,600 meters, the cool climate and mineral-rich soils create the perfect environment for slow-developing, flavor-packed coffee cherries.

This Black Honey processed Bourbon and Caturra offering is where things get especially exciting. By leaving more of the fruit’s natural sugars on the bean during drying, the result is a cup that’s rich, syrupy and layered with complexity. Expect a beautifully balanced profile with candy-like sweetness, brown sugar richness and vibrant notes of cherry and peach. This is a Guatemala coffee that’s a treat for the senses, for sure!

Daylight Limited Returns

Our very popular summer blend, Daylight Limited, is back for a limited time. This longtime behind-the-scenes favorite has been savored by staff and gifted to friends for years, and now it’s back in the public limelight. The name was inspired by our Parkville location’s vintage train cars. The Daylight Limited was a legendary passenger train that ran along the California coast, known for its stunning red-and-orange paint job and scenic routes. It was once called “the most beautiful train in the world.” This sunny blend couldn’t have a better namesake.

Beans: Brazil + Ethiopia

Brazil brings the comfort with a substantial body and rich chocolatey caramel notes. Ethiopia brings the sunshine and a clean, bright finish with just a hint of stone fruit. Think peach, apricot, with a bright citrus note at the end. It’s smooth, balanced and built for summer sipping. It’s tasty hot, cold-brewed or paired with good company and good conversation.

Both Guatemala and Daylight Limited Coffees Available Now
