Honey Washed Brazil
From the rolling hills of Três Corações, South Minas, comes a honey washed Brazil coffee that carries both elegance and strength just like its producer, Marjorie Pereira. At Ipê Farm, sitting 1,000 meters above sea level, two exceptional varietals ~ Mundo Novo and Arara ~ flourish under her careful hand. Each cherry is hand-selected at peak ripeness, pulped with precision and slowly dried, creating a honey washed Brazil masterpiece.
But beyond the cup, this honey washed Brazil coffee tells a deeper story. After the loss of her husband, Marjorie, a retired dentist, found herself facing the daunting task of continuing her family’s coffee legacy. With resilience, courage and the support of her children, she transformed Ipê Farm into a beacon of perseverance and passion. Today, the Pereira family not only cultivates award-worthy coffee but also welcomes visitors to experience the journey from soil to cup.
The result is a brew as inspiring as its story, complex and layered, with delicate acidity, notes of tropical fruit, peach and red apple. It’s balanced by a smooth, medium body and a candy-like honey finish thanks to its honey washed Brazil beans.
This isn’t just coffee. It’s a testament to family, resilience and the beauty of South Minas. At Rochester Brewing and Roasting, it’s important that we get to know our coffee producers and learn their story, their origins and what coffee means to them personally. Then we can bring amazing coffees with a compelling story to you.
Tasting Notes:
