Boogie Off Beat Back on Tap 🎷

We couldn’t be more excited to announce the return of Boogie Off Beat, our beer brewed in collaboration with our friends at Vine Street Brewing — and created for the Parkville Jazz & Blues Festival, a benefit for the Banneker School Foundation.
This special saison isn’t just a nod to summer; it’s a toast to history, community and the rhythms that connect us all.

Boogie Off Beat Beer

The Festival

The Jazz & Blues Festival was held June 7, 2025 at English Landing Park in Parkville, MO. The event featured local musicians, family-friendly activities, food and, of course, Rochester’s Boogie Off Beat beer. Proceeds from the event benefit restoration efforts of the historic Banneker School.

The Banneker School

Built in 1885 and named after African American scientist and writer Benjamin Banneker, the Banneker School was one of Missouri’s few institutions where Black children could receive an education during segregation. Today, the school stands as a vital piece of Parkville’s Black heritage, and the restoration project will ensure that future generations can learn from and celebrate its legacy.

Boogie Off Beat Beer

Boogie Off Beat is a Belgian-style Saison originally brewed for hardworking farmers at the end of long, sunny days. It features fruity esters, light notes of bubblegum and spice and finishes dry with just a touch of bitterness. Refreshing, vibrant and perfectly in tune with summer jazz on a patio.

You can enjoy Boogie Off Beat on draft at our Parkville or Crossroads taprooms, or grab a four-pack to go. It’s the ideal companion to a sunny sidewalk seat and a cool jazz playlist.

The Collab

To create Boogie Off Beat, we teamed up with Vine Street Brewing, Missouri’s first Black-owned brewery, to bring this collaboration to life. Vine Street is not only brewing incredible beer—they’re creating space for conversation, culture and connection. Working with them on this beer, and being part of the Banneker School Foundation’s mission, has been an absolute honor.

Want to Support?

If you didn’t attend the jazz fest and still want to support the Banneker School Foundation restoration project, you can learn more about the Banneker School restoration at the Foundation’s page.
